Connect Hangr to your AI assistant
If you already use an AI assistant, you can let it read your shop in Hangr and ask it about your day in your own words. It reads; it never changes anything.
What you can ask
A few of the questions it can answer from your shop:
- “What's late today?”
- “Which orders have been ready for more than two weeks?”
- “How much did we take yesterday?”
Before you start
You need the owner's sign-in for your shop with two-step sign-in turned on, and an assistant that can add a custom connector (an MCP server) and sign in to it.
Connecting an AI assistant is part of the Pro plan.
Connect
- In your assistant, add a custom connector with the address below.
- Sign in with your Hangr owner account and your two-step code.
- Read what it will be able to see, and choose Allow.
- Ask it about your shop.

What it can see
Before you choose Allow, you see this list. It will be able to read:
- Today's numbers, orders and where each one is
- Customers' names, visits and spending
- Your staff's notes about customers, their tags and preferences (allergies included)
- Phone numbers and emails: hidden, unless you allow full contacts in Settings → AI assistants
- Sales, payments and each day's close
- Follow-ups and regulars who haven't been back
One connection covers every shop you own.
What it can't do
- See another business's shop.
- Read card numbers (Hangr has none), passwords or sign-in codes.
- See photos.
- Change anything in your shop, take payments or send messages: it only reads.
Where your questions go
What you ask, and what the assistant reads from Hangr to answer, goes to the company that runs your assistant, under its own terms.
Disconnect
In Hangr, Settings → AI assistants, then Disconnect beside the assistant. It stops working straight away. An assistant left unused for 30 days is disconnected by itself.
