Tailor shop software for alterations, from drop-off to pickup

Hangr replaces the alteration ticket and the clipboard. Tap in the hems, take-ins and zippers from your own price list, write the fitting on the ticket, take a deposit, and hand over a receipt your customer scans to see when the work is done.

The customer's order page on a phone: the alterations are ready for pickup, with the balance left after the deposit and the shop's hours.

A day at the alterations counter

  1. Tap in the alterations

Every job on your price list is a tile: hem pants, shorten sleeves, take in the waist, replace a zipper. Tap twice for two pairs. The ticket adds it up, and a ready-by date is filled in from your usual turnaround, counted in the days you're open.

    On screen: New order

  2. Write the fitting on the ticket

Pin marks, the length you agreed and which pair is which go in the ticket's note. It prints on the receipt and shows on the ticket for whoever does the work; it never appears on your customer's order page. Photos at drop-off record the garment as it came in.

    On screen: The ticket

A tailor's ticket: two pairs of pants to hem and a waist to take in, the fitting note underneath, a deposit paid and the rest owed at pickup.
  3. Take a deposit

Record a part payment when the order comes in: cash, card or other. The ticket shows what's still owed, and the order can't be handed over until it's paid in full. Payments are recorded, not processed: you take the money as you do today.

On screen: Ticket → More → Take payment now

Take payment now: paid by card, an amount of 20 dollars toward the order.
  4. They hear when it's ready

Mark the order ready and your customer gets a text with the link to their order page, word for word as shown here. Until texting is on for your shop, the order page updates by itself, so a customer who scans the receipt sees it's ready without calling.
