At closing, count the drawer and Hangr shows it next to what the day took by cash, card and other. Reports show what sells and who took it in, and the takings download as a file for your accountant.

From closing time to the books

  1. Count the drawer

    Type what's in the drawer and see it against the cash the day should leave there, with any difference and a note for it. The day's orders, discounts and corrections sit beside it.

    Close the day at Acme Cleaners: the starting cash, cash taken and refunded, the cash expected in the drawer, the cash counted two dollars short with a note, and beside it the day's orders and its discounts and corrections.

  2. What sold, and who took it in

    Sales by item, by staff member and by payment method, for a day, a week or a month you pick, each table ready to download.

  3. A file for your accountant

    Download the takings as a daily summary CSV: one row per day and payment method, with no customer names in it.

    Off until you switch it on: one email to the owner each morning, at the time they pick, with yesterday's takings and what's waiting today.

Questions about the close

Hangr is in private beta. Apply with your shop's details. A person reviews every application, and if we can take your shop on, we'll email you a link to set up your account. Every shop gets a 14-day free trial, and no credit card is needed.

No. The close and reports are for owners and managers.

Not yet. Hangr doesn't take card payments itself yet: the card total is what your staff recorded at pickup.

An owner can reopen a closed day, count again and close it once more. Each close and reopen stays on the day's history.
