Weighed, washed, folded, tracked. Laundromat software for the drop-off counter

Hangr is the POS for the counter side of a laundromat: drop-off wash and fold, dry cleaning you send out, and alterations you take in. It doesn't run your washers, dryers or the card readers on them. Weigh the bag, hand over a receipt with a QR code, and customers see on their phone when it's ready.

The customer's order page on a phone: the laundry is ready for pickup, with the amount to pay, the bag weighed at 14 pounds and the laundromat's hours.

On the customer's phone: Received, then their laundry is ready for pickup, and the Ready email is in their inbox if they gave an address.

A day at the drop-off counter

  1. Weigh the bag, price it by the pound

Put the bag on your scale and type the weight on the wash and fold tile. The ticket prices it per pound, charges your minimum when a bag is light, and adds comforters and bedding by the piece.

On screen: New order, the wash and fold tile's weight

    Wash and fold, per lbExample

    $1.75 / lb · min $15.00

    14.0 lb × $1.75 = $24.50

    Order

Weigh the bag, then add it to the ticket.

Set the bag's weight, then Add to ticket. Nothing is saved.
  2. Their usual, every time

Unscented, fold the shirts, no fabric softener: save it once on the customer and it shows on every new order, so whoever is at the counter gets it right.

On screen: New order, the customer's preferences

A returning customer's cell at the counter: their allergy, unscented detergent, and their saved preferences as chips, Folded and Other: No fabric softener, each kept on this order unless tapped off.
  3. Tag the bag, scan it when it's done

Print a label with the ticket number and a barcode for each bag. When the laundry is folded, scan the label with a barcode scanner to find the order and mark it ready.

    On screen: The bag's label

A bag label from Bright Laundromat: the ticket number and its barcode, the customer, the ready-by day and their preference, Folded.
  4. They know it's ready without calling

Mark the order ready and customers who gave an email at the counter get one with what they owe and the link to their order page, which turns Ready the moment you tap.

Texts to customers are rolling out and are not live yet.

On screen: Mark ready, then the customer's Ready email

The Ready email on a phone: Bright Laundromat says the laundry is ready for pickup, with the amount to pay and a See your order button.

What it doesn't do

Hangr is for the counter, not the machines: it doesn't run washers or dryers, take coin or card payments at the machines, or plan pickup and delivery routes. It doesn't connect to your scale either: read the weight and type it in. Printing from a tablet is not live yet. For now, print receipts and bag labels from a computer.

  • Tailors and alteration shops

Tailor shop software without the clipboard: put hems, take-ins and repairs on your own price list, write fitting notes on the ticket, take a deposit, and email customers the link to their order page when the alterations are ready (texts rolling out, not live yet).
