The claim ticket, without the paper.

Hangr is the counter app for dry cleaners, tailors and laundromats. No handwritten tickets or carbon copies: tap in the order, hand over a QR code receipt, and customers follow it on their phone.

The customer's order page on a phone: ready for pickup, the amount to pay, and the shop's hours.

On the customer's phone: Received, then their order is ready for pickup, and the Ready email is in their inbox if they gave an address.

The top of the Ready email from Acme Cleaners: the order is ready for pickup, with the amount to pay.

A day at the dry cleaning counter

  1. A receipt that answers "is it ready?"

One small receipt instead of a claim ticket and a carbon copy. It prints with a QR code that customers scan to see their items, the ready date, what they owe and your hours. No app to install, no account to make, and the page updates by itself when you mark the order ready.

    See an example order page.

    On screen: The printed receipt

A printed receipt: shop name and address, ticket number, ready-by date, the items and total, and a QR code to track the order.
  2. A message when it's ready

Today it's an email. When a customer gives an email at the counter, Hangr emails them when you take the order and again when it's ready, each with the link to their order page. Tap Undo within 10 seconds and the Ready email never goes out. One click in the email stops them.

Texts are rolling out shop by shop and are not live yet.

On screen: Mark ready, then the customer's Ready email

The Ready email on a phone: Acme Cleaners says the order is ready for pickup, with the amount to pay, a See your order button and the shop's opening hours.
  3. The whole day on one screen

Today opens on what's late, what's due and what's ready for pickup, each with the money still to collect. Below, orders are grouped by what needs doing next. Search by ticket, cell or name, and mark several ready at once.

    On screen: Today

Today in the dry cleaning POS: tiles for late, due today and ready for pickup with the balance to collect, then the orders grouped by what needs doing next.
  4. Tax, discounts and payment in one hand-over

Hand over shows the order's total with the sales tax and any discount worked out. Give a discount right there if you need to, record how they paid (cash, card or other), and it's picked up. Payments are recorded, not processed: you take the money as you do today, and Hangr won't hand over an order that isn't paid in full.

    On screen: Hand over

Handing over an order: the subtotal, a 10% discount, sales tax and the total, with Cash, Card or Other and a Hand over button.

Also for

  • Tailors and alteration shops

Tailor shop software without the clipboard: put hems, take-ins and repairs on your own price list, write fitting notes on the ticket, take a deposit, and email customers the link to their order page when the alterations are ready (texts rolling out, not live yet).

  • Laundromats and wash and fold

Laundry POS for your drop-off service: wash and fold, comforters and bedding priced from your own list, a QR code receipt for every order, an email when it's ready, and an order page customers check instead of calling to ask if it's done.

Hangr is dry cleaning software at heart, and the same tickets, receipts, order page and emails work for tailors and alteration shops and for laundromats with a wash and fold or drop-off service. Your price list is yours to change.
